If you are one of those who are always worried about the stays and immigration processes in the UK, then this blog is meant for you. When it comes to education abroad the thought of work and stay always pours in. The point system in the UK relaxes some norms for a student visa or a Tier 4 visa.
In the UK points-based system the individuals are required to go through an assessment which is a point-based way to get permission to work and study in the UK.
Students can now enroll in different programs or continue their programs by extending their student visas (this applies to the students who already have Tier 4 general student visas).
Here is the must-have listed to extend your visa:
- Students must remain in the UK by holding a Tier 4 student visa (General).
- Have an unconditional offer of a place on a course with a licensed student sponsor – shown by your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS)
- Show that your studies are at a higher academic level than your current course (called the ‘academic progress requirement’) – there are some exceptions.
- You need to show enough funds in your bank account so that you can sustain yourself (this applies to students who have a valid visa which is less than 12 months).
Other pathways to get the UK immigration visa
- Choosing the course which is at a higher level than the current one in terms of job prospects and opportunities. The course can include STEM, medical, business, PhD, etc.
- The degree must be above the Higher Education Provider (HEP).
How are Points awarded to individuals who want to work in the UK?
There are plenty of job-seekers around the world who want to work in the UK but are not able to due to certain rules and regulations. The point-based system has made an easy path for migrant workers who want to move to the UK in search of jobs.
