Note 01Route summary

Before a single employment permit can be lodged, your company needs a verified employer account on DETE's Employment Permits Online System. We build and verify it end to end, reconciling your CRO registration and Revenue employer records so the account passes first-pass checks.

09Questions on file
Q01Do we need this before applying for a permit?

Yes. A verified EPOS employer account is required before any employment permit application can be lodged with DETE. It is genuinely step zero: no account, no filing.

Q02Does the company data need to match Revenue and CRO?

Yes. The account is checked against your Revenue and CRO records, so company name, number and address must match exactly to be verified. A single mismatch is one of the most common causes of avoidable delay.

Q03How are permit fees paid once the account is live?

All fees are paid inside EPOS at the point of application. DETE charges EUR 1,000 for a permit of up to 24 months and EUR 500 for one of up to 6 months. If an application is refused, 90 percent of the fee is refunded.

Q04Can one account cover multiple hires and permit types?

Yes. The employer account is created once and reused across all permit types and every future application, which is exactly why the company details must be correct from the outset.
